IEDA Data DOI Catalog

The IEDA Data DOI Catalog contains datasets and other digital objects from geoscience research, following principles that are published and archived in the IEDA data repositories (EarthChem Library, Marine Geoscience Data System, USAP Data Center, etc). IEDA data repositories operate under the following principles:

Open Access

Access to data in IEDA repositories is open and free for use under the terms of the Creative Commons license BY-NC-SA 3.0.

Long-Term Archive

IEDA repositories ensure long-term availability of its content through collaboration with the Columbia University Libraries Digital Program and the National Geophysical Data Center.

Data Registration with DOI

Data in IEDA repositories can be identified, shared, published and cited by using a Digital Object Identifier (DOI). IEDA is a publication agent with the DataCite consortium.

NSF Investigator Support

Data in IEDA repositories can be linked to NSF award numbers. Investigators can use the IEDA Data Compliance Report tool to prepare reports about submitted datasets to demonstrate compliance with NSF Data Policies.
